The Wombat is an Australian home services marketplace. Homeowners tell us what they need, and we match them with up to 3 local suppliers who can quote the job. The service is completely free for homeowners, with no obligation to hire anyone.
How we make money
We're upfront about this: suppliers pay us for each customer enquiry we send them. Homeowners never pay anything. Because suppliers only pay for genuine enquiries, we screen every quote request before it's passed on, and suppliers can request a credit for leads that don't check out.
How suppliers join
Every supplier on The Wombat is ABN-checked and manually reviewed by our team before they can receive a single lead. We don't hold copies of trade licences or insurance certificates, so we always recommend homeowners sight a supplier's licence and insurance directly before work begins - state licensing bodies offer free online licence checks.
What we cover
We match quotes for 20+ home improvement services across Australia - fencing, tree removal, pool installation, roof restoration, kitchen and bathroom renovations, heating and cooling, and more - in every state and territory, metro and regional.
